LAM is member-led community organization working for racial, health, economic justice through grassroots organizing, leadership development and community-building in Los Angeles, California.

Changing forever the landscape of human services in Los Angeles and in the Black community.
Formerly incarcerated
are today referred to as returning citizens. An entire movement was birthed by a small group of committed faith-based men and women in South LA.
LAM grows each year in our outreach and economic empowerment, community engagement; reentry support, violence prevention public policy, education, public health best practices, and alternatives to incarceration.

LAM provides nonprofit intermediary services to small organizations: fiscal agent service, program development, technical assistance, compliance, and access to capital/financial literacy education classes.
LAM facilitates transformational leadership, community development, community research. Our constituency uses the information we share to create change, improve families and youth in LA, CA, and worldwide.
We are training a new generation of leaders.
We co-sponsor an annual coding competition for high school students with cash prizes. We are survivors and not victims.

Your support and contributions help us act collectively, protect grassroots, civic engagement, movement building across race and class? Your contributions, provide jobs and access to capital for black-led social enterprises, and nonprofit orgs. We mentor, formerly incarcerated adults and youth; we mentor new leaders in health equity. We work with populations most harmed by the war on drugs in Urban America and especially in South LA, the City of Watts, and Unincorporated LA County Willowbrook and Westmont/West Athens. We sponsor afterschool programs, health ministries, social enterprises, male victims of crime, homeless women, families, and younger adults.
