Raising Awareness of the Needs of the Black Community

Raising Awareness of the Needs of the Black Community

Raising Awareness of the Needs of the Black Community

On Saturday March 13, 2020,

LAM participated in a call to action from one of its strategic partners to form

the South Los Angeles Community Response System (SLACRS) that addresses the current community needs associated with COVID-19 and beyond.

The goal is to identify individual resources that have the ability to flex into;

-Emergency Operations Centers (EOC)

-Medical Triage (MT), Distribution Centers (DC), and

Command Centers (CC) that support the various government agencies responsible to address and deploy resources throughout South Los Angeles.

Additionally, CRSSLA.org will develop an immediate deployment strategy to operationalize and assist where needed.

In COVID-19 LAM is doing the following services:

-LAM is connecting small orgs and churches with PPE equipment.

 -So far, over 500 masks given away in 6 weeks
